What a fun and fulfilling project: exploring the architecture of the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart. The building is a postmodern masterpiece, designed by James Stirling and opened in 1984. What a feast of pastel colors, playful shapes, ironic stylistic quotes, colorful columns, etc. The museum invited me to illustrate the entire latest edition of their magazine “Stirling” from cover to cover, what an awesome opportunity! (download available here) Moreover, this issue focuses on sustainability, which is a topic I am very passionate about.
